THE
PHILOSOPHY OF THIS BIBLE CURRICULUM
is detailed in a book entitled More
Effective Bible Teaching, the preliminary pages
and first lesson of which are available FREE by typing your
e-mail address on our HOME PAGE.
That philosophy may be summed up in three main premises:
| 1. |
Each
CURRICULUM should include as much as possible of
the entire Bible
(II Timothy 3:16a, Acts 20:27). |
|
|
| 2. |
Each
LESSON should include |
| a. |
A
spiritual challenge for one's learning (Romans 15:4),
or |
| b. |
An
example for his admonition (II Corinthians 10:6, 11). |
| 3. |
Each
LEARNER (including the teacher) should be TOLD
no more than necessary;
rather LED |
| a. |
To
discover for himself |
| (1) |
Bible
facts, and |
| (2) |
Principles
derived from those facts; and |
| b. |
To
let the Holy Spirit work through his own spirit to apply
principles to his mind, heart and will so he will be changed: |
| (1) |
Inwardly,
in thoughts, attitudes and motivations (character), and |
| (2) |
Outwardly,
in words and actions (conduct) to gradually BE more like
Jesus, so he can DO his part in fulfilling the Great Commission
(Acts 2:4a, 14a, 36-38a, 41, 42). |
